A Witches' Tale

Everyone starting out on this path wants to know a personal story that led to really believing in their own powers.
Let me start out by saying that to be a witch and to use her or his powers is to cause subtle energy changes, that affect your life and the situations you are trying to change. Things happen that you take for granted everyday. Miracles happen everyday. You just have not been taught to recognize them, or have been taught to think that a God has either granted your wishes or denied them. Or maybe you attribute your everyday miracle to your pastor or priest or church. But you have never been taught to believe that YOU have caused these changes.
Whether you call them prayers, spells, visualization, they are all the same. The intent to change. Intent is apowerful emotion that will make or break your spells. If your heartfelt intent is not there, then your spells will not work.
Here is an example of how spells work.
REMEMBER: You must be very careful with your spells. Every word you utter, must be exact. Exactly what you are wanting or expecting. Here is something that happened to me.

The spell I was working on delt with wanting to desperately move from the place I was at before having to sign another lease. It was a very trying time, to say the least.

We lived in a very nice home, but it was deprived of any true touch with nature, which you will find will become, more and more important to you as you continue your path. The house sat on a very busy street, with one small tree in the front yard. All the neighbors had no choice when in their backyards, but to stare at each other. In other words, NO PRIVACY. I was very unhappy. I couldn't plant anything in the back yard, due to is just being sand and shale. So I decided I HAD to move, and my husband agreed that we had ,
had enough.

So I started working on my spells, and working with the phases of the moon. I started at the new moon, and was hoping I could find a wonderful place to live before the Full Moon came to pass, and the new lease had to be signed. Which was about at the same time.

So I started my spell, with the intention of finding a new residence. And that's just what I said A NEW home, and also to be cheaper in rent. So as the full moon was coming along, I couldn't believe it, so did a house. A beautiful NEW house, which was a little better off privacy wise. Not a whole lot, and it was more in rent then we were paying for now. But I thought that this was what the Goddess was offering me, so I should be thankful.

Now, this is the problem, when you don't use EXACT words. Not realizing, I asked for a NEW home, and also at a lower rental price.  Which is quite impossible to find. And of course, I didn't mean brand new, just a new residence. But I wrote my current landlady anyway and told her we were moving and would not be signing a new lease, even though I felt this didn't feel right.
Then what happens but the owners of the new house call up and say they can't rent this house. They have had an offer to sell it. So I have already sent notice to my landlady here, that I was moving. I wasn't sure what to do. But I realized a little too late, that I had confused thing by asking for a NEW home.  So I started my spells again, being more careful not to say new, and say exactly what I meant.

I had mailed the notice and what happens but the very next morning, I find the perfect house. Not new, (I learned that lesson) but an older home with a wonderful yard full of lilacs and huge trees and flowers, and $100.00 cheaper in rent. The inside of the house was all hard wood floors, and beautiful built in dining room cabinets. And I couldn't believe it, a very special cabinet top that would make a perfect altar. I was so happy, I knew THIS was the house we were suppose to have.

I continued my spells with a feverish pitch. Wanting to have this all straightened out by the Full Moon.

I was very excited. I told the new landlady that I needed to know by the next morning if we had it or not because I had let my current landlady know we were moving. But if she was NOT going to let us have this house, I needed to let the curent landlady know  that we we were staying where we currently were, so that we did not end up without ANY place to live.

So the next day passed, and I was very sad that it had all fallen through. The lady for the new house did not call.  So I called our current landlady that night and asked her if she would please disregard the notice, and she said she would. So I mailed the new lease that day.

You guessed it. The very next day the lady from the house I wanted calls and says she would love to have us as tenants. She had forgotten, I had told her I needed to know by the next day. I could not believe all the trouble I had caused by not being exact with my words. I had almost ended up with three houses. I signed another lease with this new landady, not thinking I couldn't get out of the other lease easily.

Of course, the current landlady exploded when I told her we were moving anyway, and she had just received our signed lease. But she made the mistake of calling our place of work and harrasing us to the point that we threatened to sue for harrasment. I am not proud of the whole mess, but I knew we had to move to this other house.

So I started my spolls again. Knowing that I wished no one any harm. I just needed to move to this other wonderful house. "With harm to no one". Lots of phone calls and arguements continued. I was lucky the current landlady lived in another state.  I felt as long as I could find her another renter quickly, everyone would be happy. And of course, we told her to keep our security deposit, (which I am sure she would have anyway).

My spells continued every night. And even though, the current house was a bit high rent wise, a renter was found by the end of the week. This ALL happened within a new moon and the next Full Moon. We were moved into our new home by the next weekend.

And I ended up with hives. Could barely get the moving and cleaning done. I have never had them before in my life. Maybe from all of the stress, (but I've had my share). So I attribute some to the emotional spells I was casting..

So please, make sure your wording is exactly what you want. Although, one hard lesson is worth a thousand words! Even if any inflection in your wording doesn't sound right to you, be sure and CHANGE it!

And it was the best move of our lives. With a wonderful yard on a quiet street with nature abounding. I have had wonderful gardens ripe with vegetables that I give thanks for everytime I open the freezer. And flowers growing everywhere. The yard is full of bright and noisy birds and squirrels and I give thanks everyday that we are here. And may have the chance to buy it soon!

And that is the true magick, being in touch with nature and subtle energy changes to improve and give you the quality of life you may want so badly.  This home has truly become "Cerelia's. I wish you the same joy and love in all of your spells and magickal workings.......BLESSED BE
