What does
Witchcraft mean to me? It is the religion of the Witches. Witchcraft came from shamanism,
which is the beginning of all religions. It is the energy of the Universe. The power of the mind. The love of the Earth, theWind, the Flame, Water and the Spirit. It is in everything you touch, and every feeling you ever have. The power to make things come forth, comes from deep inside you, as you absorb the elemental magick and let it spring forth, freely and without fear. Witchcraft means, "The Wise One's." The ancient ones who knew the power of the Earth. The power of nature itself. For this belief, they were burned. For the love of a christian god, people were tortured and murdered. When most of it was really a way to control. Control the land and the churches. Control women, and keep them in their so-called place. This was the beginning of Christianity. And the end of good people, loving and honoring nature as they saw fit. Knowing that all the power they needed was in them and in their homes and families. In the very ground they built on and grew their food. Knowing the wonderful ways in which they celebrated their lives in tune with nature. And then finding themselves
having to go into hiding, because they did not believe in a vengeful god. That condemned
them to a hell or rewarded them with a heaven. They did not believe in a church that
judged their every move, and made just another man, more holier, more powerful than they
knew themselves to be. And made women into nothing. |
